Say Goodbye to Winter/Benefit Concert

Be sure to get your tickets early for the SAY GOODBYE TO WINTER/BENEFIT CONCERT to light up Oakes Ames Memorial Hall, presented by the Southeast School of Music on March 4, 2016, 7:30 p.m. at Oakes Ames Memorial Hall. This exciting musical event is sponsored by Easton Shovel Town Cultural District.

We are pleased and excited that the Southeast School of Music has reached out to present a concert to benefit a special project at the Hall- lighting the beautiful façade of this National Historic Landmark building.   Specialized, professional quality lighting will illuminate this incredible piece of Richardson architecture, add to the safety of accessing the building at night, and bring attention to the beauty of the Oakes Ames Memorial Hall to all passersby.

Brockton residents, Rich Cesarini and Jack Colombo, joined forces and recently opened the SOUHEAST SCHOOL OF MUSIC.

Jack Colombo states ‘We were at a crossroads in our lives where we needed to pursue our own vision with no less than one hundred percent freedom to do so. We then made the decision to collectively pursue this goal.

Ongoing community involvement is important to us and at the end of the day we all need to give back.  We are very excited for our March 4 event. The SAY GOODBYE TO WINTER CONCERT for Oakes Ames Memorial Hall is our kickoff and is the first of many ideas we are actively working on to make reality.’

Jack Colombo, a multi keyboardist, will be performing on four keyboards simultaneously, playing a mix of popular favorites, with a mix of rock, blues, orchestral and jazz styles. His credits include playing keyboards for over 108 national recording groups, some of which are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees.

Jack also has been the Music Director for recording legends, ’The Drifters’, and has performed with Grammy Award winners, Al Jardine of The Beach Boys and The Manhattan Transfer. He also works with the popular oldies group ‘The Reminisants’ and is Music Director at St. Edith Stein in Brockton.

Rich Cesarini will be performing with his duo ‘The Terrifics’, one of the most popular acts in the area. The Terrific’s repertoire includes a wide array of Acoustic Rock, Blues, Folk and Americana.  His performance credits include keyboardist for ‘The Experts’ and an expansive list of national and regional acts.

Rich created the popular ‘I’m With The Band’ for PCC/ASP at Stonehill College, in which over a five week period, high school students prepare to perform a rock concert and record in a multi track studio. He also instructs the music portion of Music and Movement’, a class that combines dance and vocals for theatrical production.

Rich is the Choir Director at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Brockton, MA for the adult and teen choirs along with being a session player for many recordings.

Jack and Rich will be joined by special guests Steve George and John Strangis.
